Starting wide receiver for John T Hoggard which has been one of the more successful teams in North Carolina over the past several years having reached the state championship in 2023 and the Eastern finals this past season. Desyn is a leader both in the locker room and on the field. He is a highly dependable player who makes plays when it matters most. Anyone who has seen him play knows that he may have the best hands of any high school player they have ever seen. His other strengths include his exceptional route running, ability after the catch and willingness to successfully block in the run game.

Desyn is a standout two-sport athlete and one of the key leaders on the Hoggard basketball team. Known as a sharp shooter, he has a natural ability to score from the perimeter while also excelling at setting up his teammates for easy buckets. Beyond his offensive skill set, Desyn takes great pride in his defensive intensity and is consistently trusted with the challenge of guarding the opponent’s top player, setting the tone with his effort, toughness, and basketball IQ.
